LeAnne Vincent is an Ipswich based contemporary art photographer, originally from the Mid North Coast of NSW. She has a background in public sector administration and has travelled widely. Relocating to Ipswich in 2002 allowed her to study, establish her arts practice and engage with the arts community.
She holds a Bachelor of Photography from Griffith University, QCA, where she studied art theory and majored in photographic art practice. She established the Ipswich Contemporary Arts Network (ICAN) and the SWICH Contemporary Art Space, where she was the Gallery Director/Curator. She has coordinated several community art projects in Ipswich including the Inaugural Ipswich Arts Dinner, the Ipswich Arts Guide and professional development seminars.
Although she still has a love for film and working in the darkroom, her art practice is now predominantly based in digital capture and the exploration of alternative digital processes, using social documentary and conceptual imagery to investigate themes of human behaviour, the environment, and public and private spaces.
She has exhibited for the past 10 years in solo and group exhibitions and has achieved several awards. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, including Ipswich, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Launceston, and is held in public and private collections.
