Work in progress
Inhabited: Anthromes of Queensland
Inhabited: Anthromes of Queensland aims to celebrate natural environments in urban areas, while reminding us of our impact on often unseen ecosystems existing around us and to encourage place-responsive habitation.
Each work forms a micro, multi-perspective visual representation of habitation in Queensland Anthromes by combining cyanotype photograms on fabric of flora, fauna and found objects, with collaging and stitching. Cyanotype prints of digital photograms of soil, sand, native flora, and remnants of insects, reptiles, and birds that discard their casings and feathers, together reveal their own narratives entwined with place.
