Drawing parallels between the mating rituals of the Satin Bowerbird, and humans, who have adapted to online dating and use images of themselves on dating sites or social media to meet people and attract a mate. But what if, like the bowerbird, we use our possessions to attract a mate, instead of our face. Using images online of our belongings, food, technology, everyday items, souvenirs we’ve collected, or sentimental items.
