Hometown, any town, 2023

Revisiting my hometown in regional NSW triggers awkward recollections of my adolescence. Significant memories are harboured in the nondescript landscapes, and some still sting like fresh wounds.
 
The act of photographing these sites with pared down photographic equipment relinquishes control, and with the viewfinder providing the space between myself and the 1980s, the process embodies a sense of letting go.
